Today.
Tonight…Im sittin in my bed starin at my toes…what else am I gonna do? Its monday…monday’s are strange days…its the beginning of the week…maybe a long week…maybe a short week…the cool thing about Mondays is that you have NO IDEA whats gonna happen in that week. Tuesdays are cool n all, but by Tuesday you already know what happened on Monday…and Monday is a pretty big day of the week. The tone setter. So, today is Monday…what did I do? I played Christmas tunes with some friends of mine at a local nursing home…hit all the classics…smiled n laughed and had a good time…then feasted on the free fish sandwich n stir fry they gave us!! side note…I dont ever want to live in a place like that…just puttin it out there…friends, if i get to that point…dont let me go…take me to the river and pitch a tent for me…i’ll make due.
christmas time…i love it. my mother is coming to Nashville…
be cool. have fun. dont lie. tell good stories.
however…as my ol man says…dont let the truth get in the way of a good story.
